The letter also alleged that the airline which was built over a period of 64 years was being "demolished within 15 days by the NITI AYOG"."The government and the government alone are (sic) responsible for this decline in passenger traffic. The CBI has also registered three FIRs and a preliminary enquiry (PE)on several decisions made by the erstwhile UPA government with regard to Air India.New Delhi: Seven unions of Air India employees have warned the government of large-scale protests if a proposal from NITI Aayog to privatise the nationalcarrier is approved.

The unions  China Special Precision Air Conditioners Manufacturers have written that they oppose the "arbitrary and unilateral" recommendations of the governments top policymaking body to privatise Air India and have called it a "spokesperson of the private sector".  No autonomy was granted to the management of Air India to determine to which sectors the Air India should operate its flight," the letter adds. There are a total 21,137 employees of Air India, including its subsidiaries. The letter also raises concerns over job losses due to the governments move, particularly for those who fall in the reserved categories "as private sector has no obligation to follow the reservation policy".Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had last month pitched for Air Indias divestment saying it has a market share of 14 per cent whereas its debt is Rs 50,000 crore, following which the the Civil Aviation Ministry said it was looking at all possible alternatives to make the airline viable. The unions also questioned the justification to privatise the airline because it had a mere 14 per cent of the market share. The letter has been written collectively by AI AirCorporate Employees Union, AI Employees Union, AI Aircraft Engineers Association, United Air India Officers Association, AI Engineers Association, AI Cabin Crew Association and AI Service Engineers Association. The letter further said employees all over India were "agitated and apprehensive" about the issue.Employees also demand that the offer of waiving Air Indias debt to enable a private player to buy the debt-ridden carrier be made to Air India to help it in its turnaround plans.."We urge you not to accept the hurried recommendations by the NITI AYOG and not to force the employees of Air India to agitate which will lead to industrial unrest and disharmony," the letter said. The Cabinet is expected to take a call on privatising Air India soon.In a letter dated June 14, the unions have sought an appointment with the Civil Aviation Minister Gajapathi Raju to discuss their concerns over Air Indias future

But, not anymore.. Each make  has some special claim. These ultra fine particles can go straight to the lung and can trigger chronic disease such as asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory problems. Thanks to the air quality crisis in north India this year, a dozen brands of indoor air purifiers are available all over India — Atlanta, Blue Star, Kent, Eureka Forbes, Honeywell, Moonbow,  Nirvana  Panasonic, Philips,  Samsung, Sharp and Xiaomi to name a few.. Indoor Air Purifiers depending on the make, also come with some other filtering mechanisms: courser  filters to take off visible dust; ultra violet ray generators to kill some germs; special filters to address fungal spores and pollen which many people find allergic; active carbon to absorb bad odours — even a bit of Vitamin C to deodorise the air. This is usually classified as a PM 2. Last month, Delhi had the dubious distinction of becoming the city with the worst air quality in the world. The villain is  usually fine particle pollution  — called particulate matter (PM). Air quality even indoors is degrading alarmingly. If you live in an apartment or house that is on a busy road,  or near a smoke emitting industry, chances are you are  more in danger of the effects of air pollution. The maximum reduction in fine particles as well as harmful gases, was observed when the air purifier runs for 90 minutes. An air purifier will provide definite relief and may prevent frequent visits to the clinic. We ignore it at our peril. But other Indian cities are not far behind;  many figure in the global Top Twenty of most polluted places: Gwalior, Allahabad, Patna, Raipur, Ludhiana, Kanpur. In all these cities,  this is no longer an outdoors-only problem.5 micrometers in size.. Results showed that irrespective of the building type, the performance of the air purifiers improved with time."Your home is your castle. So clearly they do help clean the air. Even larger particles up to PM10 or ten micrometers pose a health concern because in spite of the human body’s own filtering mechanisms, they are small enough to be inhaled. We are more prone than ever, to respiratory ailments and by ‘we’ one means especially the very young and the old who are more vulnerable. All air purifiers improve the air quality, some better than others.Typically, such purifiers cost between `15,000 and `40,000 and are good for average sized apartments, covering 25-60 square meters.

Southern metros   pharmacy cooler unit like Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai are only a whisker short of this name-n-shame list, albeit in specific pockets.  There is a new enemy within. Shut the door and you will shut out the world and its problems," it was once said.Do indoor air purifiers work? The Energy Research Institute (TERI) carried out a study  earlier this year, using Sharp units in three different types of locations  in Bengaluru and Delhi, over a period of two months.5 filter which means it can remove particles of dust, soot and smoke, larger than 2. Today, the world — and its polluted air — comes seeping in, through every crack and crevice. Cities like Pune, Kolkata, Amritsar suffer from  nitrogen dioxide pollution, caused mainly by vehicular emissions.  Unless the environment in Indian cities improves sharply, we may  have to resign ourselves to increasingly cleaning the air we breathe, even as we are used to cleaning the water we drink.Just to give you an idea, a human hair is 100 micrometers in thickness or 40 dust particles in a row. Their basic function is to filter out the particulate matter for which they all use what is known as a HEPA — High Energy Particulate Arrester — filter

Supreme Court was frustrated by the union environment ministry which was sitting on these standards for months. What we currently have is court orders and fiat of the executive. For instance, it has not bought adequate numbers of mechanical sweepers to remove dust from roads. Only then can we combat the killer that is air pollution. Last year, the air quality index in about 50% days in November, December and January were in the severe category. It collects pollution tax from trucks entering the city, but has not used this money adequately to control pollution. The Delhi government wants to introduce the odd-even vehicle rationing scheme, but has not bought a single CNG bus in the last two years.

We have orders of the courts and regulation of the government to stop this. In turn, the judiciary has issued orders that are non-implementable. Authorities express their solidarity but do little else. Everyone knows that we have to stop stubble burning. Without the will and the willingness of executive, we cannot tackle air pollution. The judiciary too has also come into action. Cities like Gwalior, Allahabad, Patna and Raipur are more polluted. Supreme Court, High Court and National Green Tribunal (NGT) have passed orders and strictures. It’s time to work together and address India’s silent killer says leading environment expert  Chandra Bhushan.Similarly, NGT has banned the use of diesel vehicles that are over 10 years old and petrol vehicles more than 15 years old in Delhi. The Union Environment Ministry has issued advisory to states to implement various actions. But, we do not know how to stop this; because we do not have an action plan that is agreed by all.Thirdly, multiple sources contribute to air pollution. It’s winter and like all winters over the past few years, air pollution in Delhi dominates the headlines of newspapers, television channels and social media trends. Millions of tonnes of crop residue are burnt every year by farmers of Punjab, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh, but nothing concrete has been done so far. Dust is a major source of air pollution in the city.5 (particulate matters less than 2. The court had no other option but to force the ministry to issue them and then enforce them in a short period of time. Above all else, we need agencies to work together and not at cross purposes.

According to a recent report by the British Medical Journal the Lancet, an estimated half a million Indians died prematurely in 2015 due to PM2. The reason is simple: we know what to do, but don’t seems to get our act together. Smoke billows across the cities and suspended particulate matter sends the air quality index through the roof. The main sources are vehicular pollution, dust from roads and open spaces, industries like thermal power plants and brick kiln and crop residue burning. Only than we can move ahead.Causes and solutions:Air quality index in NCR varies from mildly polluted to severe throughout the year.Lastly, air pollution in not a NCR phenomenon, it is a Pan-India phenomenon. That is, the air was toxic. This because:Firstly, our political leadership has not understood and internalised the gravity of the situation. The air pollution in NCR is a classic case of "too many cooks spoil the broth".Everyone knows that these standards cannot be implemented in two months. The severity of pollution is highest in North India during winters. Developing an implementable action plan will require working with all stakeholders and coming out with viable solutions within a given timeframe. In fact, Delhi is not the most polluted city in India. But I don’t fault the honorable court for giving this un-implementable order. Impounding the vehicle isn’t   Low-carbon Environmental Protection Air Conditioning manufacturers an option either for the Delhi government neither has space to park these automobiles or             the facilities to scarp them.5 microns in size) in the air. Air pollution is killing people and we must recognise and accept it. The Centre, which was ordered to produce a Graded Response Action Plan, did so only in October, by which time pollution levels were too high to contain. For instance, Supreme Court has given orders to implement the standards of Oxides of Sulphur (SOx) and Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) for industriesby December 31. But the government has no mechanism to implement this order other than fining and impounding individual vehicles. Like before, all the organs of the government have sprung into action in the last few weeks; having done very little in the previous ten months. We do not have an implementable action plan for each of them.5 million Indians died due to air pollution in 2015, the largest number in the world. Most Indian cities don’t meet air quality norms. There is absolutely no leadership in the environment ministry, central pollution control board or the state pollution control boards to address this issue. The writer is Deputy Director General, Centre for Science and Environment, Delhi.Every winter, Delhi is enveloped in smog, as millions of tonnes of crop residue are burned in the northern states. The Union Health Ministry has issued a health advisory and NitiAayog has recommended a slew of measures like finding alternatives to crop residue burning, and encouraging commuters to share cars and take public transportation.Secondly, our environmental agencies are failing us. This year doesn’t seem to be any different. The severity of the problem is known: A report by WHO said 2.The statement of the union environment minister, "air pollution is harmful but to attribute any death to a cause like pollution may be too much" is disheartening, to say the least. But little seems to have been implemented or can be implemented this winter. In fact, all these agencies seem to be mute spectators and following the orders of the courts. To the credit of the judiciary, it has been seriously taking up the issue of air pollution in NCR, but have been frustrated by the executives. Let me illustrate this point. But the fact is the central government has failed to bring the governments of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi together to solve the problem of stubble burning. The Central government has shown solidarity and nothing more

SHARP Business System India Private Limited, the 100% subsidiary of SHARP Corporation, Japan announces the launch of the new "J Series" Room Air Purifiers especially designed and built for India."Mentioned below are some unique benefits of SHARP J Series Air Purifiers:HAZE Mode: During winters the density of pollutants increase in the lower atmosphere..How does it eliminate? SHARP J Series deploys the high-density Active Plasmacluster Technology combined with Passive Mechanical Filtration Systems (PM10 Pre Filter, Carbon Filter & H14 Grade True HEPA Filter) to trap and eliminate the harmful substances.

This process can clean the air and surface from irritants including dust, fungi, viruses, pollen and mold etc. More number of pollutants enters the respiratory tract in one breath. The HAZE Mode in SHARP J Series ensures superior purification from poisonous HAZE substances like Toluene, Benzene, NOx, Sox etc using the Plasmacluster, HEPA & Carbon Filters along with strong airflow and suction.5 level Monitoring (only on J60 & J80): While the air is being taken from each corner of the room space through powerful suction, the sensor placed right at the Input duct before mechanical filtration  China Wholesale Grain Cooling Units SuppliersChina Wholesale Grain Cooling Units Suppliers ensures modest PM2.Washable PM10 Pre Filter: House Dust, Dander, coarse dust up to 10 microns can now be trapped and washed from the Pre Filter without loading the HEPA. It is also proven through IEC, Japan Safety Standards of EN1822 that the SHARP Plasmacluster Technology doesn’t produce any harmful Ozone during the Purification process.5 levels (only on J60 & J80), Odor and Dust levels it ensures that the panel lights are switched OFF as soon as the room lights are turned OFF. IEC Japan and British Allergy Foundation Seal of Approval confirms the safety & effectiveness of the Purification process along with 29 other global labs. Plasmacluster Technology can best be described as the next generation of Air Purifiers. This natural purification method works by using an electrical discharge to create both Positive and Negative ions, which are then surrounded in water and then released into the air. The cost factor also plays an important role and combined with the absence of an Indian standard, consumers get utterly confused with which product or technology to trust. Thanks to the super sensitive light sensor mounted on the panel.97% efficiency, which due to charges generated inside the HEPA, particles are trapped in corners thus not clogging the air path and thus maintaining efficiency for upto 2 years. While living in a polluted environment, our goal should be to reduce the exposure or risk from indoor pollutants, and by breathing fresh air for at least 8 to 10 hours a day, we will nourish our cardiovascular system, respiratory system, nervous system and take the pressure off our Immune System thus giving stamina and energy to fight diseases while in challenging environments. The fundamental purpose of an Air Purifier is to help in reducing toxic load entering the body thereby reducing sick days and medication.5/PM10, Infectious substances like fungi, mold, mites, virus etc.5 level monitoring of the purified air in the room. Most people doubt the effectiveness and benefit of an Air Purifier. Keeping this in mind, SHARP has been educating users on choosing the right air purifier that helps eliminate a wide variety of toxins through safe & effective Technologies. How much can it eliminate?SHARP has obtained third-party verifications from 31 renowned labs on the various types of pollutants and infectious substances neutralized and eliminated from room spaces within a specified time frame. What all can it eliminate? With every season and urban condition, there are a variety of pollutants indoor and the right air purifier should be able to destroy all of them - House Dust, PM2.Speaking on the launch SHARP’s National Manager, Shuvendu Mazumdar said, "While the Indian market is flooded with OEM products sold by reputed brands, SHARP original design Made in Thailand J series offers Superior built quality, premium Electrical Safety, super high air flow with low noise as some of the added benefits
